Good housekeeping
Forgive me for a rather sparse few weeks but I've been busy. And, shamefully, I've been neglecting all keyboard activities outside of my office, including piano playing and blogging. I've been meaning to post about a couple of Mean Rachel-related items, so here we go:
Hireable
I've decided to expand my freelance empire. Well, there's no empire, but I'm DBA Mean Media now on my nights and weekends. If you need some help -- writing copy for newsletters/blogs/etc., social media work, getting earned media in Forbes (you know, the usual) -- holler at me.
Shareable
I recently discovered the "Share" button in my Google Reader, and it's now my favorite invention since AOL 1.0. Whenever I come across something interesting, I just hit that little button and those who are following me on Google can read them. Thanks to the handy widget I've embedded, now you can too! Check out the right hand sidebar to see my latest shared items, or click here to see all of my shared items. Thank you, Google! It's a non-obtrusive way to tell all four of you who read this what I'm finding amusing, interesting, outrageous, etc. The Google Share button feeds my self-importance AND educates people all at once! Perfectgle!
Laughable
On Thursday, I start an eight week long improv comedy class thanks to Chris Trew and The New Movement. I shared a stage with Chris Trew and his improv team at my Stool Pigeon stints and after yet another person told me I reminded them of Chelsea Handler (here's some of my favorite material from her stand up routine), I decided to take the plunge into comedy. I'll be posting occasional updates on my blog and also on my Twitter.
Drinkable
Come out and celebrate the one year anniversary of (the new) Molotov Lounge on Wednesday. I will be there for a little while or at least long enough to make Brad Womack adequately uncomfortable. RSVP on Facebook here. Or do like the natives (Austinites) and just show up. Why? Because it never hurts to support bar owners. Trust me on this.

Rachel...I can't wait to read about your experience with New Movement improv classes. I have been thinking about doing them for so long, and always, always chicken out. Maybe reading about you and your Chelsea Handler-channeling will provide me a little shot of courage.
Epic on the way!
