Thanks for remembering Ladybird on your blog. That was a sweet photo. I was listening to a bio of her last night on KUT, which had a lot of her talking in that wonderful deep-fried Southern voice (her mother was from Alabam-damn-a) and she said "We must not give up. We shouldn't feel impotent just because we are not all powerful."
