Baby Steps
I am very slowly making forward progress in Moving Hell. As the saying goes, "When you're going through hell, keep going." And so we go.
Thuan and friends, from Super Cheap Movers, will be moving all of our large possessions (beds, dressers, etc.) on Sunday, January 28 in the morning. M and I are going to try to do the rest of the moving on Friday and Saturday that weekend, so that only our big items are left to move on Sunday.
I have a Peruvian cleaning lady, Marisel, signed up to come on Monday, January 29 at 3:00 PM to do the move-out cleaning. This will also be the night that M and I spackle the holes in the walls from the paintings. Luckily, everything else will already be gone and I'm sure I'll be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel by this time.
Tomorrow's goal is to get all of our utilities scheduled to be turned off and then turned on at the new place. I also will be calling to cut off our cable, as we're going to try to mooch internet off the pool cabana before we actually pay for it.
I also am going to try to schedule the walk through of our apartment tomorrow for January 30. It will hopefully be nice and clean by then. Perhaps we'll have even gotten the green paint off the balcony from a failed arts and crafts project years ago. If not...then f-it.
I know this move talk is going to be tedious to my readers. However you can all look forward to me blogging a lot less now that I have my review writing activity to keep me busy. However I will most definitely give you all a recap of my bootcamp hell, beginning at 5:30 AM sharp...tomorrow morning.
Projected temperature at 6:00 AM tomorrow (by then we'll be in the full swing of things)?
According to Weather.wrong, thirty seven degrees. Joyous.
I probably ought to go to sleep. Too bad I haven't fallen asleep at ten since I was eight years old.
